Nantou Hot Spring Festival Kicks Off – Free Entry to Taiya Resort Hot Springs on the 11th & 12th

When it’s cold, nothing beats a hot spring soak. Hot spring resorts across Taiwan are gearing up for peak season. When it comes to winter hot spring getaways, many travelers opt to visit Nantou for both soaking and cherry blossom viewing. The 2017 Nantou Hot Spring Festival will kick off first in the Puli Hot Spring area on the 5th, with the Tianshuan Hot Spring Resort opening its outdoor spa pool for free public use that day.

To attract more visitors to Nantou for hot spring tourism, the authorities have launched a series of educational hot spring experiences. For example, the Tianshuan Hot Spring Resort in the Puli Hot Spring area, with water temperatures ranging between 45°C and 55°C, invites the public to embark on a hot spring cycling tour and will open its spa pool for free soaking. Meanwhile, the Beikengxi Hot Spring area will also allow free entry to the Atayal Resort grounds for all visitors before 11 AM on November 11th and 12th during the opening week. In addition to free hot spring access, there will also be an exciting Water Splashing Festival blessing event that day.

Most of Nantou’s hot springs are carbonated. When talking about hot spring soaking, the Dongpu Hot Spring area is definitely a must. Dongpu is offering a joint hot spring voucher promotion from November through December, with discounted stays and hot spring access available every day, helping visitors save money while warming up.

1. The park opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM.
2. For the Mahapo Water Battlefield, visitors must bring their own water guns, scoops, or other play props.
3. A parking fee applies: NT$50 for motorcycles, NT$100 for cars.
4. After 11:00 AM, regular admission applies: NT$300 for adults, NT$250 for children.
5. All amusement facilities in the park will be closed and not in operation.
