Singapore was officially named a "City of Design and Creativity" by UNESCO in 2015, and from March 8 to 20 this year, the third "Singapore Design Week" will be held, creating an Asian creative exchange platform and design space. It is expected to attract professionals from the design industry, business owners, and design students.
From March 8 to 20 over 12 consecutive days, the third "Singapore Design Week" exhibition will take place. The opening highlight is "Design Festival" (SingaPlural), which will be held from March 7 to 13 at Middle Road in Singapore. The organizers will focus on a balanced sensory experience theme, using scents, touch, visuals, sounds, and flavors to inspire visitors' imagination and design inspiration.
Following that, the "Paris Maison & Objet Asia" (M&O ASIA) will take place from March 8 to 11 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. It will not only showcase exquisite and elegant interior design brands but also emphasize the latest trend design concepts in fine hotels, high-end dining restaurants, and SPA wellness beauty-related industries. Visitors can expect to gain first-hand insights into market development trends in the Asia-Pacific region.
Meanwhile, the "Singapore International Furniture Show" (IFFS), which has a history of 34 years, will be held from March 10 to 13 at the Singapore Expo. It will display high-quality, contemporary design-forward works by emerging talents and has been rated by industry experts as Asia’s leading procurement platform. At the same time, the Singapore International Furniture Components & Woodworking Fair (furniPRO Asia) will also take place from March 10 to 12 at the Expo, bringing together design works from exhibitors across 24 countries and internationally leading design brands. Highlights include the promising 3D printing trend with strong market potential.
Last year, Singapore was officially named a "City of Design and Creativity" by UNESCO, turning art into reality and making the city even more innovative and stunning, attracting many foreign tourists. Through travel, visitors can experience various forms of design art, spark different cultural and creative inspirations, and embark on an alternative intellectual journey.
