Don’t miss out on the stunning views of Gaomei Wetlands—boardwalks to close for repairs starting the 6th

Gaomei Wetlands in Taichung was once selected by an overseas website as a "must-visit wonder at least once in a lifetime." At its peak, it attracts up to 100,000 visitors per month. With its rich wetland ecology and dreamy sunsets, it has become a popular destination for both domestic and international travelers. Recently, a visitor center spanning 8.4 hectares has been fully completed. The city government stated that it is currently seeking tenants and expects to open to the public next year.

This two-story building spirals upward and is equipped with facilities such as a visitor information center, restrooms, and a café. The rooftop features an observation deck where visitors can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in Gaomei. It is also located right next to the scenic bridge, making these two structures the biggest highlights of Gaomei. In addition, the government has added small parking lots to address visitors' parking needs.

The public is also reminded that the habitat boardwalk in the Gaomei Wetlands conservation area has entered its maintenance period. To ensure visitor safety, maintenance and renovation work will be carried out. The 691-meter habitat boardwalk has been closed since November 6 and will remain so until December 1. Visitors are advised not to enter the area during the closure.
