The “World’s Most Beautiful” series is a global hit, with spots like the most beautiful Starbucks, most beautiful McDonald’s, and most beautiful café turning ordinary shops into must-visit destinations for travelers. In the Austrian town of Salzburg, famous for Mozart, there hides a McDonald’s that doesn’t just use the traditional yellow M sign — it boasts a one-of-a-kind “world’s most beautiful signboard.”

COSMOS’ general agent, Bigfoot Travel Agency, points out that Salzburg, Austria, is a renowned tourist town as the birthplace of musical prodigy Mozart, earning the title “City of Music.” However, the town also features historic ironwork signs that add a unique charm to the entire Getreidegasse street. Walking along the street, you’ll notice that brands from around the world have adapted their signs to the street’s style, redesigning them in cast iron.

The McDonald’s on Getreidegasse street has a “world’s most beautiful signboard” — delicate ironwork frames an old McDonald’s M sign surrounded by leaves, with a lion-like creature climbing atop it, transforming the simple McDonald’s logo into a finely crafted masterpiece. The surrounding streets also feature many beautiful and distinctive signs, making for a fascinating local sight.
