Spring is really coming soon！ The cherry blossom season in New Taipei City kicks off in Sanchi on the 19th

The cherry blossoms in Sanchi have bloomed！ On the 19th, the New Taipei City Government will hold the 2016 New Taipei City Cherry Blossom Season event “Spring Breeze Presents Cherry Blossom Affection” at the Sansheng Trail in Sanchi District. Not only can you have a picnic under the cherry blossom trees with family and friends and enjoy a leisurely time, but the site also gathers food stalls, farmer’s markets, and other activities, allowing visitors to not only admire the cherry blossoms but also experience local culture and the essence of native life.

This year’s cherry blossom season is themed “Because of You, the Blossoms Bloom”, which signifies that cherry blossoms are always around us, and their beauty can be discovered in our daily surroundings. Although the number may not be large, individually planted cherry trees usually have more space to grow, often bearing more buds and blooming more densely. Currently,locations such as Qingshan Road, Provincial Highway 101, Yangguang Road, Dahu Road (Provincial Highway 7), the Sanchi District Celebrity Cultural Museum, areas around Mujiaoliao, residences near Zhibai Mountain Villa, and the vicinity of the Sanchi District Office buildingall offer views of blooming cherry blossoms. Take advantage of the cherry blossom season to appreciate the beauty of spring blossoms.

Public Transport:
You can take the MRT to Tamsui Station, then transfer to bus 860 (limited to event day), 862 (to Keelung), 863, 865, 867, or 892 and get off at “Xinzhuangzi” Station. Walk 300 meters along the old Provincial Highway 2 to find the event venue. Additionally, a free shuttle bus departs from Hongshulin Station, passing Sanchi Junior High School to reach the venue (check the schedule on theofficial website).

Self-driving:
From Provincial Highway 2, kilometer marker 20.8, turn onto the old Provincial Highway 2, drive about 200 meters, and you’ll reach the entrance to the Sansheng Trail at Bridge 17.
