A 40TN container truck has been transformed into a “mobile museum,” which will make its debut in Dawan, Pingtung today.

A 40TN container truck has been converted into a “mobile museum,” making its first appearance today (29th) in Longshui Village, Hengchun Township. From now until April 17th, the mobile museum will host a special exhibition at the Dawan Recreation Area. Through this “Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum”—a 40TN container truck repurposed for the role—visitors from all over can learn about Pingtung writers via audiovisual interactive displays.

The “Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum,” created from a repurposed container truck, will be on display in Kenting from March 29th to April 17th. Except during the spring break period from April 2nd to April 4th when it will be open from 12:00 to 20:00, the regular opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00 daily, including Mondays. During the exhibition period, two promotional events will also be held at the Hilton Kenting Resort: on April 1st at 15:30, renowned author Ku Ling will speak on “The Nature You Don’t Know”; and on April 16th at 15:30, well-known news anchor Sheng Zhuru will share insights in “Five Chapters of a TV Career.”

Chen Yiyuan, Director of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature, stated that this tour stop of the “Taiwan Literature Mobile Museum” in Pingtung has added exhibits showcasing Pingtung literature and Pingtung writers, with the hope of introducing the rich and diverse world of “Pingtung literature” to a wider audience.
