The "cement texture slide" at Da'an Forest Park has made a comeback with Q-version dinosaurs that kids can climb up and down

In 2015, Taipei City's Department of Parks and Street Lights successively removed multiple cement texture slides in parks that did not meet standards, drawing criticism from many parents who claimed it robbed children of their childhood memories. This year, the department is rebuilding them, with the first revived cement texture slide located in Da'an Forest Park — also the first in Taiwan to meet national safety standards.

The Taipei City Department of Parks and Street Lights has built a new large sandbox spanning 142 pyeong (approximately 468.9 square meters) in Da'an Forest Park, and within it, created a Q-version dinosaur-shaped cement texture slide. It is a slide suitable for children of all ages (2 to 12 years old), and has recently opened for use.

Huang Liyuan, Director of the Department of Parks and Street Lights, stated that the design of the dinosaur cement texture slide incorporates elements that children love — such as an adorable shape to attract them, an enlarged platform at the top for climbing, and the addition of a climbing net to offer diverse play options... and more. Not only does this make the slide the first in Taiwan to meet safety standards, but it also becomes a new highlight in the children’s play area of Da'an Forest Park.
