Kaohsiung’s THOMAS CHIEN French Restaurant, which invites world-renowned master chefs to Taiwan every year, will welcome Eric Fréchon, known as the Royal Chef, from May 18 to 22. The event will be themed “Royal Cuisine, French Classic Set Menu,” priced at NT$15,500, which includes 9 courses and 6 pairing wines.

The “Ultimate Ingredients, French Classic Set Menu” features high-end ingredients including caviar, black truffles, duck liver, and prized line-caught cod from France, as well as smoked eel... all specified by the chef in terms of variety and brand. Éric Fréchon’s celebrated restaurant Le Bristol, located next to the Élysée Palace and within Paris’s top-tier hotel Le Bristol — the first hotel in France to be awarded the “Palace” classification — was once the residence of the Duke of Castellane, with a history of at least 300 years, and is a gathering place for Parisian high society.
