Friends in southern Taiwan, hang tight—Tim Ho Wan is coming to Tainan and Kaohsiung before summer vacation.

Tim Ho Wan officially opened its new branch on the B1 floor of Dayeh Takashimaya in Banqiao, New Taipei City, on April 26. This marks its fifth location across Taiwan. Aside from the Taichung Dayeh Takashimaya branch, the other four are all located in the Greater Taipei area. So when will it expand to the south? Lin Chin-chieh, CEO of Heyi Lifestyle Group, stated that preparations for the new outlets are underway, and Tim Ho Wan could be heading to Tainan and Kaohsiung as early as this summer.

Currently, Tim Ho Wan operates five outlets: HOYII North Station, Xinyi, Uni-President Times Square, Taichung Dayeh Takashimaya, and Banqiao Dayeh Takashimaya. Alongside the opening of the Banqiao branch, a limited-time chef’s special dish was introduced exclusively at the Banqiao location: Crispy Wontons served with Cilantro and Century Egg Soup, along with Chaozhou Steamed Rice Rolls | (originally a chef’s recommendation from Xinyi). The Chaozhou Steamed Rice Rolls feature a rich texture and authentic flavors, made with premium ingredients. The menu offers a diverse selection.

In addition to the Banqiao branch exclusive, brand-new chef’s specials have also launched on the 25th at the HOYII North Station, Taipei Xinyi, and Taichung Dayeh Takashimaya locations. These include: HOYII North Station’s Superior Soup Pan-Fried Tofu, Tiger Skin Peppers, and Fresh Milk Lotus Roll; Taipei Xinyi’s Hometown Salty Rice Dumplings, White Pepper Pork Tripe Soup (originally a chef’s recommendation from the Station Front branch), and Brown Sugar Black Fungus Soup; Taichung Dayeh Takashimaya’s Hong Kong-style Curry Pork Skin Fish Balls (originally a chef’s recommendation from the Xinyi branch), Honeycomb Fried Taro Croquettes, and Careful Flowing Sand Fried Glutinous Rice Balls.
