Live underwater footage: Coral spawning explosion in Kenting – Live broadcast until May 1st

As the warm spring season arrives, Kenting also welcomes the peak period of coral spawning. From now until May 1st, the Kenting National Park Headquarters is hosting live underwater broadcasts every evening from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, offering viewers a front-row seat to the coral spawning phenomenon. During the peak moments, large quantities of eggs erupt from the corals, creating a magical and beautiful scene.

Kenting National Park boasts a rich and beautiful coral reef ecosystem. In recent years, thanks to successful conservation efforts, it has attracted numerous marine life photographers who document the coral spawning process. Coral spawning is a significant event in the coral reef ecosystem, typically occurring around the traditional holiday of Mazu’s birthday, around the 23rd day of the third lunar month. This year (2016), Kenting National Park collaborated with Taiwan’s National Museum of Marine Science and Technology to broadcast the coral spawning live.

In the “Live Underwater Footage of Kenting South Bay Coral Reefs,” viewers can see vast expanses of beautiful coral. When the coral spawns, a large number of eggs are released, surrounded by schools of fish, forming a stunning natural marine ecological landscape. Travelers interested in this spectacle can tune in to the live stream to witness this annual underwater event.
