Ippudo Marks 4th Anniversary in Taiwan: Free Unlimited Noodles Add-On from May 3–5

Ippudo has been in Taiwan for four years now. There are currently eight Ippudo branches across Taiwan, and the ninth store, “Taroko Siaogang Store,” will open on May 9. Additionally, to celebrate the occasion, diners can enjoy free unlimited noodle refills from May 3 to May 5, featuring an upgraded rich pork bone broth paired with Fukuoka’s signature ultra-thin noodles.

Ippudo’s pork bone broth is simmered for 14 hours and then aged for another 24 hours. Over the past 30 years since its founding, Ippudo has upgraded its recipe more than 20 times. The Taiwanese branch is the first overseas location, outside of Japan, to implement the “pork broth upgrade.” In addition to incorporating a secret recipe, the simmering process and timing have been continuously refined to achieve an even silkier texture.

The two flagship dishes based on the pork bone broth — “Shirohan Genmi (White Original)” and “Akamaru Shinmi (Red New Flavor)” — have seen more than just an upgrade to their broth. The house-made chashu pork is marinated in a secret soy sauce base passed down through Ippudo’s legacy, slow-cooked to perfection. When sliced, the cross-section reveals a balanced mix of lean and fatty pork.
