Fireflies at Miaoli Campsite Create a Beautiful "Little Galaxy"

As firefly-viewing season arrives across Taiwan, a photographer recently captured the flowing trails of fireflies around "Not Far Villa" in Miaoli. Through long-exposure photography, the dancing fireflies formed glowing lines that looked especially stunning against the night sky.

Not Far Villa in Miaoli is primarily known for its camping facilities and has gained local fame. The site was formerly a decommissioned mine and has since been transformed into a spacious 3.5-hectare camping area with nearby hiking trails. During cherry blossom season and firefly season, visitors can enjoy the area’s natural beauty. April to May is peak firefly viewing time. Photographer Jiang Niao captured images of fireflies dancing among the trees, turning the night into a twinkling little galaxy. Though not a vast swarm, the scene still offers a serene sense of beauty.
