Cyclists’ delight: The refurbished bicycle towing path under Fuzhou Bridge in New Taipei is now complete

The improvement project for the bicycle towing path downstream of Fuzhou Bridge on the right bank of the Dahan River in New Taipei City has recently been completed and is now open to the public. The original towing path along the outer dike downstream of Fuzhou Bridge on the right bank of the Dahan River was a spiral staircase, but after the improvement, it has now been transformed into a gentler stairway-style towing path. The towing path has stairways about 1 meter wide on both sides for pedestrians, while the middle features a 0.6-meter-wide towing channel for bicycles. At night, LED strip lights are used to provide cyclists with a bright and safe towing environment.

With the improvements made to the overpass, in combination with the existing pedestrian walkway on Fuzhou Bridge and the bicycle towing path downstream of Fuzhou Bridge on the left bank of the Dahan River, the bicycle network on both banks of the Dahan River can now be connected, offering the public a more user-friendly cross-river cycling route.

The area around Fuzhou Bridge also features the Fuzhou Art Riverside Park, Fuzhou Artificial Wetland, a Fuzhou bicycle rental station, and various multifunctional sports facilities nearby. With comprehensive amenities, it's a great choice for leisure activities on holidays — the public is welcome to come and enjoy it.
