Tigerair Taiwan’s maiden flight to Daegu achieves over 90% load factor

Tigerair Taiwan officially launched its first South Korean route, the “Taoyuan-Daegu” scheduled flight, on the 5th of this month. The average load factor for the inaugural round-trip flights exceeded 90%. As Tigerair Taiwan is the first Taiwanese low-cost carrier to fly to Daegu, both Taiwan and South Korea attach great importance to this route.

To encourage the new wave of Korean tourism driven by Tigerair Taiwan, the Korea Tourism Organization has prepared exclusive inaugural flight gifts, including a Korean tricolor taegeuk fan, a Korean-style pencil case, and a Korean travel guide. Additionally, passengers on the inaugural IT610 flight received special small gifts upon arrival in Daegu, South Korea, as it coincided with Korea’s Children’s Day—the first child to disembark from the inaugural flight was given a present.

Passengers arriving in Taiwan on the inaugural IT611 flight also received an airport bus voucher and a Taiwan travel handbook prepared by the Seoul Office of the Taiwan Visitors Association. Tigerair Taiwan specially prepared inaugural limited-edition postcards and “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” keychains, which were given to passengers on the inaugural flights. A routine inaugural flight photo session was also held in the Taoyuan Airport lounge with passengers on the inaugural flight.

The Tigerair Taiwan Taoyuan-Daegu route initially operates four flights per week. The outbound flight IT610 departs from Taoyuan Airport at 16:40 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The return flight IT611 departs from Daegu International Airport at 20:50 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
