EVA Air launches Taipei–Chicago route on November 2, operating four flights per week

EVA Air will launch the Taipei–Chicago route on November 2 and begin accepting bookings from the public today (May 5).

The EVA Air Taipei–Chicago route will operate four flights per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering a total of 333 seats: 39 in business class, 56 in premium economy, and 238 in economy class.

EVA Air noted that Chicago is located at the heart of the North American continent, serving as one of the United States’ most important railway and aviation hubs, as well as a major center for finance, futures, and commodities trading. Known as the “City of Architecture,” Chicago is also the birthplace of the skyscraper, boasting one of the world’s most beautiful skylines. The Chicago Riverbanks are like an open-air exhibition of modern architectural history. The city is home to over 40 top-tier museums and more than 200 theaters. It is not only the birthplace of jazz but also the starting point of the historic Route 66, which holds great significance in American history. The city attracts over 40 million visitors from around the world every year.

With the gradual introduction of new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, EVA Air will add three early-morning flights to New York per week starting July 7, followed by four additional early-morning flights from October 3, bringing the total number of flights to 14 per week. This means there will be both morning and evening direct flights to New York every day. Additionally, EVA Air’s direct flights to Los Angeles will be adjusted from August 4 to include three daily time slots: morning, afternoon, and evening. After the launch of the Chicago route, EVA Air’s North American routes will increase from 63 to 76 flights per week, while Southeast Asian routes will also be gradually expanded from 84 to 124 flights per week.
