This plant is botanically known as theGolden Shower Tree, which blooms in May and is mainly used as an ornamental or street tree. Every early summer, its branches are covered in golden-yellow flowers. As the flower clusters sway in the wind and the petals drift down like rain, itis thus also called "Golden Rain."Southern Taiwan is one of its main cultivation areas. These golden lantern-like blooms bring a refreshing novelty to ordinary streets, not only heralding the arrival of summer but also healing everyone who passes by, rejuvenating their spirits as they continue onward in life.
