Want to explore dreamy scenes from K-dramas? Or catch a glimpse of Korea’s fascinating history and culture? Travelers looking to visit Korea should seize the opportunity! From 2010 to 2012 is the Visit Korea Year, featuring five special programs created for visitors to experience the warmth and beautiful scenery of Korea.
First up is the “Welcome Program.” Anyone visiting Korea between July 30 and August 5 this year can go to the “Visit Korea Year” website to download the “Visit Korea Year WELCOME KIT” and receive a rich welcome gift at the event location upon arrival at Incheon Airport. And shopping enthusiasts are in for a treat too! From July 21 to September 12 is the “2010 Seoul Grand Sale,” where over 5,000 stores across Seoul participate in the event, covering shopping, accommodation, dining, culture, beauty, health, and more—allowing visitors to fully enjoy food, fun, and entertainment!

Korea has also introduced a “Free Extra Night” program for independent travelers, with participating hotels in four major cities—Seoul, Jeju, Ulsan, and Busan—offering this benefit, helping travelers save money and have a more enjoyable trip. The final two programs, “Online Incentives” and “Free Sightseeing Buses,” are available for participation and application before the end of the year, freeing travelers from transportation worries and making the Korean journey even more colorful!
