This year’s Japan Pavilion has plenty of appealing offers for Taiwanese tourists.
Japanese hot springs have always been a big draw for Taiwanese tourists.
For the online campaign “WEnews Invites Everyone to Discover the Beauty of Japan,” participants can become special correspondents for the Japan Pavilion by uploading and sharing an article (300+ words) about travel in Japan. The campaign runs from now until October 29th, with three winners to be announced on November 3rd. Winners will receive free entry to the travel fair, cash prizes, and the opportunity to write three Japan Pavilion-related articles. Additionally, during the travel fair (November 5–8), members of “FaceJapan—Love Japan” can join the 2010 ITF Japan Express Team to upload photos and texts for cash rewards. Those who take a photo in the Japan Pavilion and write a 100-word caption can upload it to the “Japan Pavilion Express Team Activity Zone.” The most popular entry will win a NT$5,000 prize, with voting ending on November 10th.
The four themed booths this year—Food, Nature, Culture, and Japanese TV Drama Locations—will feature performances by a food model master and host six travel agencies: Daxing, Xin’an, Darong, Canxing, Xiangsheng, and Jiapin. Participating Japanese entities include Hokkaido, Niseko, Otaru Music Box Museum, the Tohoku Region Wide-Area Tourism Promotion Association, the Iwate Prefecture Wide-Area Tourism Promotion Association, the Kanto Region Wide-Area Tourism Promotion Association, and more. The organizers have also arranged four performance groups: Hirado Kagura, Awa Odori dance, ninja martial arts shows, and Okinawan music performances.

This year, visitors who purchase products from any of the six travel agencies at the Japan Pavilion will receive a free Sakura Bear plush toy and a QUQ card (equivalent to an 180-yen prepaid card, valued at 500 yen). Supplies are limited.
