Soaking in the hot springs at Guanziling and sipping Dongshan coffee must be one of life’s greatest pleasures. The “Jazz, Hot Springs & Coffee” event, organized by the Siraya National Scenic Area, runs from December 17 until January 1 of the next year. A uniquely painted shuttle bus will arrive in Guanziling on the 17th. This eye-catching bus will run between Guanziling and the Dongshan coffee farms throughout the “Jazz, Hot Springs & Coffee” event, allowing visitors to enjoy the soothing benefits of Guanziling’s mud hot springs while savoring the rich aroma of Dongshan coffee.

The event is divided into three parts: the “Jazz, Hot Springs & Coffee” concert from 7pm to 9pm every Friday and Saturday evening; street performer shows and fun activities such as face painting from 2:30pm to 4:30pm every Saturday afternoon at the main venue near Baoquan Bridge; and thirdly, an ecological experience segment, where participants can join locally organized eco-tours. Dongxiang Cat Coffee will lead guests to personally harvest fragrant, sweet-but-not-cloying imperial mandarins, while Yan Ding Coffee offers guided tours highlighting the butterfly ecology they’ve helped develop in Red Leaf Park. In addition to soaking in the hot springs and sipping coffee, visitors can also enjoy the fun brought by these eco-experiences.
Guanziling is an extremely important tourist resource in Siraya, home to Taiwan’s only mud hot springs. Alongside Yangmingshan, Beitou, and Pingtung County’s Sichongxi, it is counted among Taiwan’s four great hot spring areas. Moreover, Guanziling’s roast chicken is famous across Taiwan, including varieties like jar-roasted chicken, teapot chicken, and bamboo stick-roasted chicken. There are also nourishing chicken soups featuring local specialties such as shiitake mushrooms and crisp bamboo shoots — all delicacies foodies shouldn’t miss.

To shorten the travel distance for northern Taiwan residents heading to Guanziling, the high-speed rail began offering Guanziling High-Speed Rail packages starting November 20. Additionally, during the “Jazz, Hot Springs & Coffee” event period, a specially painted promotional shuttle bus will serve as a dedicated transport link between the Guanziling hot spring area and the Dongshan coffee farms, providing free rides to the public.
