The world’s longest secret tunnel slide is hidden inside the Grand Hotel Taipei, and free guided tours are available to help travelers learn more about the history and background of the tunnels.

Taipei’s sightseeing double-decker bus has added a “Grand Hotel Taipei Station” on the Blue Line and a “Metro Longshan Temple Station” on the Red Line, offering travelers a more in-depth sightseeing experience. In response, the Grand Hotel Taipei has launched a guided tour of its secret tunnels, allowing bus passengers to join the tour at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM daily with a guide.
Currently, only one of the tunnels is open for visits—the Third Secret Tunnel.
The Grand Hotel Taipei has many secret tunnels, and their mysterious aura stems from their unique historical background. The currently open Third Secret Tunnel is 85 meters long, winding and twisting, with a slide located beside the western section of the tunnel, hailed as the world’s longest secret tunnel slide.

The history of the secret tunnel slide dates back to wartime, when it was designed to allow national leaders to evacuate safely and swiftly. The tunnel is equipped with an independent power supply and a well-functioning drainage system, but the slide is currently only for viewing, not for sliding.
Taipei’s double-decker sightseeing bus has added a stop at the Grand Hotel Taipei.
Now, you don’t need to stay at the Grand Hotel Taipei to visit the tunnels. Travelers can join the guided tour for free by presenting their bus ticket stub. The Blue Line of the Taipei sightseeing bus departs from Taipei Main Station at 09:40 and 13:40 daily, and passengers can join the free Grand Hotel Taipei secret tunnel tour.
