With nature bursting into life in spring, flowers are in full bloom across Taiwan, and various floral seasons are in full swing — making it an ideal time for outdoor outings. During this warm, flowery season, many vibrant flower fields are in bloom, including the super-popular cherry blossoms. Cherry Blossoms
When it comes to spring flower viewing, cherry blossoms are definitely the top choice. Starting from February, cherry blossoms begin to bloom in various regions one after another, enveloping the entire island in a pink whirlwind — all the way through March, where different varieties, white and varying shades of pink spring cherries, continue to bloom like a marathon relay. Popular cherry blossom spots include Alishan, Wuling Farm, Fushoushan Farm, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, Tamsui Tianyuan Temple, and Yangmingshan, with the blooming period expected to last until April.

Calla Lily
The annual Yangmingshan Calla Lily Festival is highly anticipated, with the floral season running from early March to late May. This year’s calla lily season kicks off on March 29 and runs through April 28. Near Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan, there are many calla lily farms, about 70% in bloom already. When shrouded in mist, they emit a fairytale-like poetic charm. Visitors can not only admire the beautiful calla lilies but also enjoy the fun of hand-picking them.

Meanwhile, Taoyuan’s “Taoyuan Colorful Calla Lily Festival” will also make a vibrant debut, featuring over 60,000 colorful calla lilies planted across a 3-hectare area, along with 20,000 lilies, covering a total flower sea area of 5 hectares — a truly spectacular sight. There are also specially designed installations and surrounding event plans, offering a deeper experience of the relationship between rural life, food, and people.

Peach Blossoms
The pink wave sweeping through Fushoushan isn’t just thanks to Yoshino and Oshima cherries — the peach blossoms in the peach orchards are also entering full bloom, kicking off the most romantic red-peach floral season. The farm’s peach blossoms are expected to be in full bloom in mid-March and last through the end of March. Most peach blossoms are bright red, peach pink, and light pink, but at Fushoushan Farm you can also find special white peach blossoms. The “Peach Blossom Paradise” at Fushoushan Farm is definitely a splash of pink spring color not to be missed in spring.
