The smartphone trend has swept the globe, with companies launching their own dedicated apps to provide more convenient services. EVA Air has introduced the “EVA Mobile” app for its extensive mobile business travelers. It offers interfaces in Traditional Chinese, English, and Simplified Chinese. The app is available as a free download for iPhone, iPod touch, and Android smartphones, with an iPad version to be launched in November.

EVA Mobile provides five main functions: “Flight Information,” “Booking Inquiry,” “EVA Air Privilege Club,” “Special Fares,” and “Contact Us.” Passengers can use EVA Mobile to check booking records, flight schedules, actual arrival and departure times, or set up SMS reminder notifications. They can also customize frequently flown routes to stay updated on special ticket deals, or log in to access personal membership information, including accumulated mileage and exclusive offers — all very convenient.

EVA Air states that passengers can simply search for “EVA Air” in the Apple App Store or Android Market via their smartphones to download the app for free. For those not using smartphones, they can also access EVA Mobile web by connecting to the EVA Air website through their mobile browser — a great option to make full use of.
