The saying goes, “Kids who learn music don’t go bad.” What could be a more unique double treat than staying in a cozy, music-themed space while traveling, drifting off to sleep with the soothing sounds of melodies? The Music Culture Park in Wufeng, Taichung, has the professional backing of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO). Entrusted to a hotel operator, it has become the country’s first music-themed inn. Every room is equipped with top-tier audio equipment, and guests can also borrow over 20,000 audio and video discs from the NTSO’s collection for free, enjoying a premium musical experience right in their own rooms.

The Music Culture Park houses the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, administrative buildings, performance halls, and the “Music World Inn,” which was completed in September. The Music Inn was originally a dormitory for musicians and later became a hotel operated under a OT (Operate-Transfer) project by the Council for Cultural Affairs, outsourced to the Rui Shi Hotel Group. Floors four and above are guest rooms, while the first and second floors host the “Music Culture Museum,” where visitors can explore various instruments, meet musicians, and enjoy audiovisual content. With a rich collection, the museum is open not only to the general public but also frequently visited by schools and corporate groups for guided tours and experiences.

The guest room section of the inn spans four floors with 64 rooms, each floor designed around a different theme: the fourth floor is the Symphony Hall, the fifth is the Chinese Classical Music Hall, the sixth is the Modern Pop Music Hall, and the seventh is the Disco Dance Hall. Each level features a lounge area equipped with a 120-inch projection screen, audio systems, LCD TVs, massage chairs, and more—perfect for relaxing chats or enjoying audiovisual entertainment.

Beyond the common areas, the guest rooms are also full of thoughtful design. Each room’s door number is styled like a piano keyboard. Inside, the wardrobe, vanity, and TV stand are integrated into a single cello-shaped design, with handles shaped like cute black musical notes—delightfully surprising. The room’s standout hardware includes no fewer than three remote controls, allowing guests to enjoy an unprecedented auditory experience without ever leaving their rooms.
