Challenge to Be the Hot Spring Mastermind and Get a Free Soak!

How much do you know about the hot springs of the North Coast? The Tourism Bureau’s North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration invites everyone to take on the “Beiguan Hot Spring Mastermind” online activity. Succeed in the challenge, and you could win a free hot spring voucher or a limited-edition souvenir!

The 2011 Jinshan-Wanli-Bali Hot Spring Gourmet Carnival featured the “North Coast ~ Hot Spring Mastermind” online marketing campaign, testing participants’ knowledge about hot spring soaking and the North Coast’s hot springs. By completing a fun hot spring quiz and filling out a satisfaction survey, you could enter a random draw. Prizes included: a weekday double occupancy stay voucher for the European-style rooms at Yangmingshan Tianlai Hot Spring Resort (2 winners), a hot spring experience voucher at Jinyongquan Spa Hot Spring Resort (winner plus one guest, 10 winners), an open-air bath voucher at Yangmingshan Tianlai Hot Spring Resort (winner plus one guest, 5 winners), and an exploration hall souvenir – an eco-friendly bento box set with a plush toy (8 winners). The campaign ran from launch until December 4, 2011.

In addition, the Hot Spring Gourmet Carnival also integrated local hot spring businesses, food vendors, and tourism resources to launch the “North Coast Hot Spring for 168” package. Regardless of age or gender, participants only need to pay NT$168 per person to join a one-day tour that includes sightseeing at North Coast attractions and a relaxing hot spring experience. The campaign runs from November through April of the following year, featuring 20 trips with 40 spots available on each. Each trip includes a guide to introduce the sites. The NT$168 fee covers travel insurance, a NT$150 consumption voucher, guide service fees, and bus transportation.
