Taichung Travel Expo: Visit the Tainan Pavilion for Hotel Vouchers & Salt Country Tour Packages

Following the hugely popular Taipei Travel Expo, the 2011 Tainan Autumn Travel Expo kicks off today and runs through November 28 (Monday) at the Taichung World Trade Center. The Tainan City Government has set up a themed pavilion at this expo, with its exhibition design incorporating elements from attractions such as Nanxiang Tianhou Temple, Tainan Confucius Temple, and Chihkan Tower, showcasing Tainan’s historic landmarks. A variety of great deals are also on offer—spend over NT$1,000 in the pavilion to enter a lucky draw with 100 prizes up for grabs, including hotel vouchers from hotels like Sinya Taroko Resort, Dynasty Hotel, and Cambridge Hotel, as well as the “Roaming Salt Country – Happy 999” tour package, and tickets to Ma Ma Lake and Shigu Cultural Village.

Additionally, visitors who collect stamps with the DM and successfully complete challenges at the Tainan themed pavilion can receive a special discount goodie bag provided by Dynasty Hotel. Those who check in at the main stage of the exhibition using their smartphones and successfully share their visit can exchange for a limited-edition eco-friendly cup at the service desk. Food is also a highlight of Tainan tourism—various local treats are available at the exhibition, including Changcheng Maltose Cake, Crown Prince Mahua, and other delicacies, allowing visitors to savor the flavors of Tainan.

With delicious food, freebies, and exciting performances, the Electric Three Princes from Tainan’s Xinying Taisuco Temple will not only perform at the opening ceremony today but will also appear at the exhibition venue daily at 12:30 PM and 4:15 PM to bless attendees, showcasing Tainan’s folk culture.
