From December 1, travelers can write about their airport experiences and tips on the SkyTeam Facebook page. The one with the highest number of votes will win a prize offered by the member airline of the month. The December prize will be provided by China Southern Airlines; two winners will each receive two round-trip tickets from the U.S., Europe, or Australia to Guangzhou, China, allowing them to experience Chinese New Year celebrations in late January 2012.

The SkyTips essay competition has been running since June 2011 and has collected over 800 airport tips. Travelers worldwide can “like” the SkyTeam Facebook page, then click on the “SkyTips” image to enter the contest. There is no limit to the number of tips one can submit, and the one with the most votes wins. For the full terms and conditions, please visit the SkyTeam Facebook page. The contest runs until December 31, and the winners will be announced on January 2, 2012.

This Facebook essay contest kicks off with exclusive SkyTips from SkyTeam ambassadors, featured on the redesigned Skyteam.com website this year. The campaign stars five frequent-traveling personalities from around the world, who have collaborated with SkyTeam at some of the world’s top airports. Each celebrity has created a short video offering travelers useful tips and advice on how to make the most of SkyTeam’s major hub airports. They include Marcel Wanders, designer – Amsterdam Schiphol Airport; Ben Fogle, explorer – Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport; Pam Ann, flight attendant celebrity – London Heathrow Airport; Antoine de Caunes, actor – Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport; and Richard Chai, fashion designer – Seoul Incheon Airport.
