With this year’s Christmas just around the corner, the Taichung City Government will host a series of Christmas music concert events from this Saturday (December 3) through December 24. The first performance will be held at the Port Art Center, featuring enthusiastic performances with indigenous elements, and the highlight will be a large-scale Christmas concert at the Fulfillment Amphitheater on December 24, featuring performances by singers such as Lin Yu-chun and A-Lin, bringing a joyful festive atmosphere to the public.

Each concert will incorporate cultural elements from different ethnic groups, including Hakka, indigenous, and Hoklo cultures. The first performance this Saturday at the Port Art Center will feature a lineup including Wang Hong-en, Tang Xiao-kang, and Huang Yu-shan. Then, on December 10 at the Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park, the concert will focus on Hakka culture. On December 17, at the Tuen District Arts and Cultural Center, performances of Hoklo-style songs are scheduled, with both concerts featuring performances by the vocal group Wang Rui-yu and the band Music Magnet.

The grand finale is the large-scale Christmas concert on December 24 at the Fulfillment Amphitheater, featuring performances by powerful vocalists such as Lin Yu-chun and A-Lin, as well as artists like Annie Yi, Liu uJ-hung, and the British rock band Transition. Additionally, at 10 p.m. that evening at Tunghai University, there will be the “Midnight YOUNG Up” event, providing a spectacular musical feast to accompany the public in celebrating the Christmas holiday.
