For the fourth consecutive year, First Financial Group and the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have joined hands to host the Northeast Coast Sunrise Welcoming Event at Fulong Beach. The public can start registering online at 9:00 AM on December 9. The first 1,000 successful registrants will receive a free round-trip train ticket between Taipei and Fulong provided by First Financial Group, as well as the First Financial Sunrise Gift (including a souvenir “Love You” mug and a sunrise breakfast voucher). Train tickets can be collected in person from the First Financial Group building between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on December 26 and 27, 2011, upon presentation of an ID-bearing document.

The “Welcome the Sunrise, Win with First” event will kick off at 3:00 AM on January 1, 2012, with an EDM DJ show to warm things up, followed by performances from all-around idol S131, musical group Music Iron, healing indie queen Lanyue Shi, chart-topping singer Chen Shian, rising goddess Yaya Taira, and Golden Melody Award-winning artist A-Lin. The event is free to enter, and there will also be game booths and energizing breakfasts to ensure a joyful celebration of the first morning of 2012!

We believe this year’s turnout will surpass previous years, with over 30,000 people gathering to watch the sunrise!”
Xu Zhenglong, Director of the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Administration, also noted that the Northeast Coast boasts many well-known tourist attractions and is close to Taipei. He welcomes the public to take advantage of the “Golden Fulong Line” shuttle bus service to explore the scenic beauty of the Northeast Coast after watching the sunrise.

Taiwan Railways Administration will also add extra trains to accommodate the sunrise event. From 1:30 AM to 2:30 AM on January 1, trains will depart directly for Fulong from Banqiao, Taipei, and Songshan stations. Farglory Hotel Fulong Branch will offer First Bank credit cardholders a 15% discount (85% of the original price) and First Financial Group employees a 25% discount (75% of the original price) on accommodation with valid ID during the New Year holiday period from December 30, 2011, to January 5, 2012.
