China Airlines’ passenger check-in counters at Songshan Airport have moved to a new location. They’ve relocated from the original East Wing Counter 1 to Counters 5 and 6 in front of the new central office building between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, adjacent to the MRT station entrance and exit for more convenient access. The wall of the former East Wing counters features a carved world map marking Taipei Songshan, Tokyo Haneda, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Seoul Gimpo—four major metropolitan airports—showcasing its ambition to become a golden air hub in East Asia.

In line with the ongoing push for digital services, a dedicated self-service check-in area has also been set up at the new service counters at Songshan Airport. It includes four Common Use Self Check-in Kiosks and baggage drop-off facilities, enabling passengers to check in online, print boarding passes and baggage tags, and complete baggage check-in procedures independently. In addition, Counters 5 and 6 are the first to feature special check-in desks for passengers with reduced mobility, making them wheelchair-friendly. Each counter also has a newly designed small shelf for passengers to place travel documents and other items.

To celebrate China Airlines’ anniversary, duty-free goods onboard will be offered at a 10% discount (excluding tobacco products and certain items) before January 31, 2012. Passengers who use the self-service check-in kiosks can enjoy an additional 10% discount on top of that—don’t miss out on this great deal.

Celebrating the big move. The north-facing exterior wall of the new office features a design that incorporates an intaglio plum blossom emblem and 120 sets of embossed lettering, showcasing the corporate logos of China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines, and SkyTeam. (Photo provided by China Airlines)
