The travel guide publisher Lonely Planet has recently released a 45-page post-earthquake Christchurch travel guide, and is expected to publish a new edition of the "New Zealand Travel Guide" this September, with the Christchurch section completely rewritten. Although there is still some time before the book’s official release, Lonely Planet has made a "rare move"—making the Christchurch chapter from the new book available as a free download on its website, allowing travelers planning to visit the area to access accurate and comprehensive information as soon as possible. The new book provides a full overview of accommodation, dining, shopping, entertainment, and sightseeing options in post-earthquake Christchurch and the surrounding areas, making it highly practical for those planning to visit New Zealand in the near future.
