The passing of legendary singer Teresa Teng has left her fans deeply saddened. To provide them with a space and opportunity to reminisce, the Taoyuan County Government will hold an event titled “Applause Resounds – A Tribute to Teresa Teng” at the Daxi Martial Arts Hall (No. 33 Puji Road, Daxi Township) from February 25 to April 8. The venue will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, showcasing nearly 10 years' worth of Teresa Teng’s performance costumes, photos, vinyl records, and many other valuable items from her public appearances. Meanwhile, an outdoor message area has been open since the launch, allowing visitors to leave messages and blessings for Teresa Teng.

Since Daxi in Taoyuan is Teresa Teng’s hometown, this event will also highlight places significant to her life there — including her favorite snacks and the spots she once visited — so that visitors can follow in her footsteps and remember the superstar. Additionally, those unable to attend in person can write down their messages for Teresa Teng and send them by mail to Daxi Martial Arts Hall. These messages will be displayed via video at the venue when the event begins.

Visitors heading to the event can take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Cihu Line and get off at Daxi Old Street Station, then walk to the venue. Alternatively, they can take Bus 5096 from Taoyuan Bus Terminal in Taoyuan City or Bus 5098 from Zhongli Back Station, both operated by Taoyuan Bus, and get off at Daxi Station before walking to the site. Drivers can park at Yuemei Parking Lot or Daxi Bridgehead Parking Lot.
