The 2012 Taiwan International Orchid Show opens tomorrow (March 3) and runs until March 12. During the show, Tainan’s Tourism Bureau is offering a “Mountains and Sea Love” one-day Orchid Show tour for NT$1,299 and a two-day tour for NT$2,088. The itineraries connect the International Orchid Show, Hutoupi Reservoir Scenic Area, Xinhua Old Street, Anping, Beimen’s Jingzijiao Tile Kiln Salt Fields, and Nanxiang Daitian Temple, among others. In addition, 38 local hotels are also launching special Orchid Show packages, including one-night stays with two meals, 55% off accommodation with an Orchid Show ticket, and group deals starting at NT$1,588 for two people.

The Taiwan International Orchid Show package tours run from March 3 to 12, divided into the Siraya Line: Orchid Show, Hutoupi Reservoir, and Xinhua Old Street, and the West Coast Line: Orchid Show, Beimen Blackfoot Disease Memorial Hall, Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Scenic Area Administration, Nankunshen Datan Park, and Jingzijiao Tile Kiln Salt Fields. The two-day tours excluding accommodation cost NT$2,088 per person, with four itinerary options available, including Guanziling or Jiangnan Resort + Orchid Show + Siraya Scenic Area 2-day tour, Guanziling or Jiangnan Resort + Orchid Show + West Coast 2-day tour, Orchid Show + Hutoupi Reservoir & Xinhua Old Street 2-day tour, and Orchid Show + West Coast 2-day tour.

In terms of hotel accommodation discounts, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern International Hotel Tainan is offering a one-night stay with two meals package for NT$5,720, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Tainan is offering 55% off selected room types with an Orchid Show ticket, and The Lido Hotel Tainan has a rate of NT$6,299 for a stay in an Elegant Double Room (including two buffet breakfasts and a double itinerary) with an upgrade to the Orchid Floor.
