The spring cultural feast “325 Art Festival” will make its timeless debut this Sunday (the 25th), with all three major museums—NTMoFA, NPM, and KMOFA—launching related activities. These cover free admission, creative markets, cross-disciplinary performances, shopping discounts, and more, aiming to plant the seeds of art and cultural creativity across Taiwan.

On March 25, all exhibitions at NMoFA will be open to the public for free all day. These include the first-floor exhibit “Taiwan Contemporary: Playing with the Ancient to Allude to the Modern,” the second-floor “Traversing Jiangnan—Chen Cheng-po’s Artistic Journey,” the third-floor “Tiny Viewpoints—Dot. Dot. Dot,” “Chen Shih-ming → Probing Contexts,” and “Huang Ming-chang: A Plot of the Heart.” Additionally, from now until March 31, books in the “Art Bookstore” in the basement of NMoFA will be discounted by 10% across the board, with some items at 50% off (excluding already discounted items), allowing the public to bring home their favorite art and culture merchandise at more affordable prices.

Taiwan’s NPM will kick off the Art Festival activities this afternoon (the 23rd) at 3:00 PM with a “Beauty & Makeup Parade,” followed by a series of events over the 24th and 25th, including “Art ‘Forest’ & Yushan” (exhibition opening), “Blossoming ‘Chinese’” (artistic creative market), “Painting ‘Garden’” (learning experience), “Art ‘Guide’ Fun” (on-site guided tours), and “Joyful ‘Celebration’” (cross-disciplinary performance), offering the public a diverse range of artistic and cultural experiences.
KMOFA will commence its celebration on the 24th with the opening of the “25-Year Retrospective Exhibition of Yuan Chan,” alongside the “2012 Visual Art Market: New Formosa Street Vendors” event, inviting the public to join in the Art Festival festivities. The New Formosa Street Vendors consist of a market featuring visual art works and handmade creative art pieces. On the same day, KMOFA will also host a “Staple ‘Madness’” basketball shooting prize game in the North Hall, where participants can join by subscribing to or purchasing magazines on-site.
