The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts will offer free admission to all galleries from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on April 4th. The museum has also launched two activities for Children's Day 2012: the hall art installation "How Do We Know Spring Has Come?" and a "Special Edition Parent-Child Guided Tour & Creative Experience." These events allow both adults and children to explore the traces of spring through art and creativity during the vibrant early spring season.

"How Do We Know Spring Has Come?" takes its theme from a catchy children's song lyric that sings of people’s imaginations and hopes for spring. It combines art creation, allowing participating children and parents to decorate the glass curtain wall in the museum’s hall on Children's Day. Various colored acrylic stickers will be provided at the event, and through cutting and pasting, participants can depict the beautiful scenes of spring.
The Special Edition Parent-Child Guided Tour & Creative Experience will guide participants to view the "Jiangnan Journey" exhibition by Chen Cheng-po and the "Playing with Antiquity, Performing the Modern" exhibition of contemporary Taiwanese art. Participants will then share their insights and imagination from the exhibitions, expressing them through experimental group creations involving painting and collage in the "209 Art Idea Space," creating an artistic dialogue between modern creativity and historical classical paintings.
