To serve the residents of the Greater Taichung area and meet the peak summer travel demand, Mandarin Airlines announced today (April 5) that it will launch a direct flight route from Taichung’s Chingchuankang Airport to Incheon Airport in South Korea starting April 6 of this year, operating four flights per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The inaugural outbound flight AE7398 from Taichung will depart Chingchuankang Airport at 07:45 and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 11:05. The return flight AE7399 will depart Incheon Airport at 12:00 and arrive back in Taichung at 13:40. Mandarin Airlines will deploy its E190 aircraft, featuring the 104-seat Sun Moon Lake livery, for the inaugural flight.

With Mandarin Airlines now offering direct flights from Taichung to Seoul, travelers from central Taiwan can more easily visit South Korea. Taiwanese travel agencies have also launched various tours ranging from three-night/four-day to four-night/five-day packages, including golf, hot spring spa experiences, and movie filming locations. Meanwhile, through Mandarin Airlines’ seasonal charter arrangements over the years, Taichung has gradually gained recognition in South Korea.
