Among its features, the Tele-zoom Priority AE mode ensures precise 12 fps continuous shooting with full-time autofocus during high-speed action. The new Clear Image Zoom technology offers up to 2x digital zoom with both prime and zoom lenses. The newly launched Sony A57 breaks the continuous shooting speed limit of DSLRs in its class, featuring a 15-point TTL phase-detection autofocus system that enables full-time autofocus and subject tracking for both still and moving subjects. For HD video recording—a major concern for modern users—it supports 1920x1082p resolution with stereo audio and the latest AVCHD 2.0 codec. During video recording, PASM manual adjustments are supported, allowing you to vividly capture speeding sports cars or athletes in motion without missing any critical moment.
Additionally, a new technology aimed at beginners makes its debut—the world’s first Auto Portrait Framing function, which uses facial recognition to intelligently auto-crop photos.
