Taiwan wild lilies on the northern coast begin blooming in mid-April, stretching from Shimen's Linsinbi Coast all the way to Shitoushan Park in Jinshan. Wild lilies can be spotted blooming alone or in clusters along the coastline. Early May marks their peak blooming period, and white lilies have formed a vast sea of flowers around the Dharma Drum Mountain area.

This year’s best spot to admire the flowers is within the Dharma Drum Mountain area. Visitors are encouraged to go on weekends. They can park at the mountain base parking lot and hike up, or take a shuttle bus. Wild lilies can be seen blooming along the hiking trails of Dharma Drum Mountain. Li Yibin, a technical official at the Yehliu Management Station of the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration, said that with recent sunny weather, the expansive lily blooms at Dharma Drum Mountain are exceptionally beautiful. The flowers are currently at their peak, and it is expected that the lily blooming season will gradually decline from mid-to-late May this year.

Ten years ago, the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration planted about 6,000 Taiwan wild lilies on the hillside of Linsinbi Coast in Shimen. Venerable Shiguo from Dharma Drum Mountain also aimed to help revive the lilies, beginning with collecting seeds from the cultivated Taiwan wild lilies at Linsinbi. Later, he returned thousands of successfully cultivated bulbs to the North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration to be planted in Shitoushan Park in Jinshan. After nearly 10 years of cultivation, in recent years, the lilies have bloomed vigorously every April and May, with some plants even producing as many as 30 flowers on a single stem.
