Ecology is closely linked to human life, making ecological conservation a vitally important issue in modern times. The "Taipei Natural Ecology Conservation Event" organized by Taipei City’s Animal Protection Office will take place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, May 27, at the Long Corridor Plaza of Flower Expo Park, next to Yuanshan Metro Station. This year, the scale has been specially expanded to include 40 booths, featuring groups such as the Purple Crow Butterfly Conservation Association, the Wild Bird Society, the Green Field Ecology Conservation Association, and the Seven Star Ecology Conservation Foundation. Activities on-site will include an ecology challenge and DIY projects using plastic bottles, allowing both adults and children to learn how to protect the environment in their daily lives.

The participating groups and organizations have pulled out all the stops, carefully planning a series of engaging and educational activities, including “Building a Bat House,” “Eco-recycling: Creative DIY Plastic Bottle Planters,” and the “OX (Tic-Tac-Toe) PK Challenge.” Through fun parent-child games, participants can not only gain basic knowledge about ecological conservation, but also win a variety of prizes for successfully completing the challenges, such as a refreshing drink, a small potted plant, a seed card, or a roll of tree-free toilet paper.
In addition, the Department of Civil Engineering and the Seven Star Ecology Conservation Foundation will be giving away mystery gift bags, along with displays of green industry products, including farm produce grown using environmentally friendly methods and items certified by fair trade.
