Taiwan High Speed Rail and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s “Sun Moon Lake Line” have collaborated to launch “Sun Moon Lake Leisure Fun,” offering a combo package that includes high-speed rail round-trip tickets and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle “Sun Moon Lake Line” tickets, which include high-speed rail round-trip tickets, Sun Moon Lake Line round-trip tickets, and Sun Moon Lake lake loop ferry tickets. Starting from 12:30 PM today (June 1) until September 29, travelers can pre-purchase combo tickets for travel between July 1 and September 30 via 7-ELEVEN ibon convenience stations, with a minimum discount of 32% off.

The “Sun Moon Lake Leisure Fun” combo ticket combines high-speed rail tickets, shuttle bus transfers between Taichung High Speed Rail Station and Sun Moon Lake, and a lake tour ferry ride on Sun Moon Lake, covering all aspects of your trip in one go. It also offers a 25% discount on standard class reserved seats on the high-speed rail, as well as a special price of NT$380 for the round-trip “Sun Moon Lake Line” ticket plus the lake loop ferry ticket (original price NT$640). For example, purchasing the “Sun Moon Lake Leisure Fun” combo ticket for the “Taichung–Taipei” route originally costs NT$2,040 per person, but with the combo ticket, it’s only NT$1,430 per person, saving you NT$610 (about 30% off); the discount is even greater at 32% off for the “Taichung–Chiayi” route combo ticket.
It’s worth noting that before boarding the high-speed rail, you need to present the “Taiwan High Speed Rail Ticket Collection Voucher” at any high-speed rail station counter to exchange it for the physical high-speed rail ticket before you can board; similarly, before taking the “Sun Moon Lake Line,” you must present the “Sun Moon Lake Line Voucher” at the Nantou Bus counter at Taichung High Speed Rail Station to exchange it for the physical bus ticket and the lake loop ferry ticket.
