Asia’s second “LEGO Land” lands in Japan — opening date revealed!

Following Disney and Universal Studios, the world-renowned large-scale theme park “LEGOLAND” is set to enter Japan. The official opening date was announced on the 19th, with the park expected to open in Nagoya on April 1, 2017, becoming the world’s 8th LEGOLAND.

This marks LEGOLAND’s first entry into Japan, with Nagoya chosen as the site for the park. According to previously released information, the park will be divided into six zones: LEGO City, Adventure Land, MINILAND, LEGO Kingdom, LEGO Factory, and a shopping street, featuring over 40 different rides and attractions.

To showcase Nagoya’s local characteristics, the park will use LEGO bricks to recreate representative Japanese and Nagoya architecture and landscapes, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in traditional Japanese charm.

With various low-cost airlines now launching routes to Chubu Centrair International Airport, including Jetstar, Tigerair Taiwan, and Vanilla Air, travelers will be able to visit LEGOLAND on a budget once it opens next year.
