As the fragrant aroma of zongzi wafts through the air amid the fervor of the Dragon Boat Festival and the festive atmosphere of family reunions grows stronger, a series of events across Taiwan are kicking off. On June 23, the actual day of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Miaoli Arts and Crafts Park will host a DIY zipper zongzi making activity within the park, which is free to attend, allowing families to enjoy the holiday while experiencing the joy of hands-on crafts together. In addition, starting July 1, the Miaoli Arts and Crafts Park will also present an exhibition titled “Love Lines ‘Play Art,’” featuring interactive craftworks such as ceramic linked cups and two-person straw sandals that require cooperation between two people. Various DIY activities will also be available to extend the festive spirit of togetherness.

The zipper zongzi DIY activities on June 23 will be held in three time slots: 10:00–11:30, 13:00–14:30, and 15:00–16:30, with a maximum of 50 participants per session on a reservation basis. The “Love Lines ‘Play Art’” Love Craft Exhibition will run from July 1 to December 25, showcasing interactive craftworks such as double scarves capes, long-fork long chopsticks, patchwork chess, smile chairs, ceramic linked cups, banquet cups, double-spout X? 2-person straw sandals requiring two people to use together. On July 3, there will also be activities such as tea ceremony, guzheng performances, fabric crafts DIY, and pottery wheel throwing DIY.
