A Seaside Wedding Backdrop: The Rainbow Church, a Must-Visit Photo Spot
Located in Cijin, the Rainbow Church features rainbow colors and geometric architectural forms as its main design elements. It is the most popular photo spot on Cijin and serves as a stunning natural backdrop for wedding photos. Situated on Cijin Beach, the church pairs beautifully with the breathtaking sea view, offering not only a sea-meets-sky depth but also ever-changing magical colors along the skyline. The nearby pool creates an infinity effect depending on the camera angle, making the entire structure appear to float in the middle of the sea — crafting a unique bridal wonderland. Visitors don’t need to travel across the ocean to capture gloriously romantic foreign-style photos!

The church, symbolized by its triangular structure, combines simple geometric shapes with sleek modern architecture. Surrounding water pools create an infinity-like silhouette on the water. In photographers’ lenses, every photo captures unique light and shadow — in the morning there’s bright blue sky, sunshine, and blue sea; at dusk, golden sunset hues shimmer, and sparkling water reflections become nature’s artistic creations.

Sweet on the Tongue, Honey in the Heart: Zheng Jia Xing Boston Cake
One of the best souvenir choices for visitors to Cijin is Zheng Jia Xing’s Boston Cake. The 9-inch Boston pie is made fresh daily and sold in limited quantities. While the main store is located in Zhongzhou, there’s also a branch on Cijin Main Street for convenience.

There are many flavors of Boston Cake available. For those who prefer a smaller portion, single slices are available. The cake texture is delicate and soft. Flavors include original butter, coffee, strawberry, orange, chocolate, and taro. As the cakes are made fresh daily without preservatives, they should be refrigerated after one hour. Visitors can pick one up on their way back to ensure freshness.

Wind Turbine Park: Whisper Endless Sweet Nothings to the Sea
Cijin Wind Turbine Park is the first eco-friendly wind power leisure park in both Kaohsiung and all of Taiwan that combines sightseeing and relaxation. Seven uniquely shaped three-blade wind turbines continuously rotate facing the vast sea. Within the long, narrow park, there are sea-view platforms and performance plazas, along with cute and lively marine life mosaic artworks that are both vivid and fun — making it arguably the most healing spot on Cijin. On the grassy area by the shore, you can sit on the steps to admire the sea view or take a casual stroll along the coastal path while enjoying the sea breeze and scenery. This grassy patch by the sea is also great for flying kites. With the gentle sea breeze, colorful kites dot the sky in dazzling displays, injecting vibrant energy into the coast.

If you arrive by bike, this spot is roughly the central area of Cijin — perfect for a short break. From beneath the wind turbines, you can watch massive waves roll in from the sea and crash against the shore, creating spectacular splashes. On sunny days, the cloudless blue sky radiates golden sunlight. Strolling side by side in the park and gazing into the distance with the sea breeze gently blowing, couples’ whispers compose beautiful poems.
