The hot summer is perfect for donning bikinis and beach shorts to join a beach party. A global online accommodation booking platform asked the public in Taiwan to vote for the most representative "2012 Beach Boy" and "2012 Bikini Girl." The results showed that national film superstar Eddie Peng, who never shies away from showing off his toned physique, was voted No. 1 (25%), while Jeremy Lin, who just signed with the Rockets, came in second with 14% of the public’s support. In recent years, internationally recognized for her professionalism and beauty, Lin Chi-ling beat out many rising stars to win the title of "2012 Bikini Girl" (14%), followed closely by Amber An (12%), Janet Hsieh (10%), and Rainie Yang (10%).

This survey was carried out by Hotels.com, which also asked people around the world about their most beach-image-associated celebrities. Jessica Alba won 16% of the votes, becoming the world’s top "2012 Bikini Girl." Singer Beyoncé came in second with a narrow margin (15%), and third place went to the British Princess Kate, who has recently drawn much attention in the fashion world (5%). Media had previously snapped photos of Princess Kate in a bikini during her honeymoon with Prince William on the Seychelles islands, which inevitably leads to associations with this ranking.
As for the global celebrity most suitable to represent the "2012 Beach Boy," David Beckham received an impressive 23% of the public’s support. Brad Pitt came in second (13%), and third place went to actor Channing Tatum, who starred in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (11%). Channing Tatum is set to showcase his toned physique in the upcoming movie Magic Mike, soon to be released in Taiwan, giving audiences quite a visual treat.
