Traveling to Hong Kong is now visa-fee exempt starting September 1 this year ! By simply applying for a Hong Kong entry registration online and printing it out, you can use this registration proof to enter the city—truly making travel to Hong Kong as easy as just going ! To celebrate this measure, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has joined forces with various providers to launch super-attractive Hong Kong travel packages. Among them, Hong Kong Disneyland and Cola Travel are offering a 3-day package for NT$5,999 (excluding tax), featuring 4 people sharing one room at Disney's Hollywood Hotel, plus two-day admission tickets to Hong Kong Disneyland ! The packages will go on sale on August 18 and 19 from 14:00–19:30 at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s Station Front Store during the “Grizzly Gulch – Grizzly Summer Party” event, with only 100 spots available, departing on September 1.

In the second half of 2012, a series of exciting events will unfold in Hong Kong. From September 21 to the end of October, the Halloween Carnival Month will feature special events at Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park, Madame Tussauds, and Lan Kwai Fong, offering visitors thrilling and fun experiences. Starting November 1, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month kicks off, this year highlighting sweet white wines paired with desserts, and offering a chance to taste 10 premium wines for just HK$500 (approximately NT$2,000).

Additionally, many brands in Hong Kong that are not available in Taiwan continue to be hugely popular in 2012. In addition to widely favored brands such as Forever21, GAP, and American Eagle Outfitters, this summer has also seen the arrival in Hong Kong of COS, a brand under the H&M Group, and the American casual fashion brand Abercrombie & Fitch. COS is located next to H&M on Queen’s Road Central in Central, Hong Kong, positioned as more upscale yet affordable fashion compared to H&M, using nature-inspired color palettes to express COS’s Nordic style. The Abercrombie & Fitch flagship store in Hong Kong is situated in Pedder Building, next to Landmark in Central.
