Taitung County Government has launched the "Low-Carbon Light Travel to Green Island GO" campaign. By integrating the local low-carbon industry alliance on Green Island, it offers low-carbon travel packages during the off-peak months of September and October. The initiative encourages visitors to explore the island via shuttle buses, bicycles, and on foot, and to bring their own utensils and toiletries. To promote and reward the concept of green travel, the county government will subsidize NT$400 per person to participating operators (limited to 2,000 people) during this period. Operators will then offer discounted package tours, with the lowest-priced two-day-one-night Green Island itinerary starting from NT$4,190 on weekdays.

Uni Air operates three round-trip flights daily, increasing to four on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It has also packaged eco-friendly Uni Holidays Green Island low-carbon sightseeing tours. The tours are available for groups of two, with two days and one night for as low as NT$4,190 per person, including round-trip airfare between Taipei and Taitung, round-trip ferry tickets between Taitung and Green Island, accommodation, pick-up and drop-off at both ports, breakfast, and a complimentary 24-hour bicycle rental. This is even more cost-effective than purchasing discounted round-trip tickets in advance for NT$4,100. The departure dates run from September 1 to October 31.

Meanwhile, Mandarin Airlines has added three more weekly flights between Taipei and Taitung starting September 1, increasing from the original two daily flights to three on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In line with the low-carbon campaign, from now until September 30, it has also partnered with travel agencies such as Cola, Canaan Star, Lion, and Southeast to launch discounted two-day-one-night packages. These include market-low prices such as starting from NT$3,988 at Deer Bell Hot Spring Hotel, NT$4,476 at Chihpen Laurels Hotel, NT$4,888 at Taitung Naluwan, NT$5,388 at Sunlight Resort, and NT$3,888 at Green Island.
