The tourism market is highly competitive, and highlighting local characteristics has become an important task for regional authorities. The Kinmen County Government, in collaboration with Kinmen National Park, Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc., Kinmen Ceramics Factory, as well as local culinary specialty, travel, and related businesses, is planning to launch a "Premium Travel Experience" in September. In addition to must-visit attractions in Kinmen, the package offers customizable sightseeing options, the chance to enjoy traditional Kinmen cuisine, experience unique local souvenirs, and stay overnight in historic houses under the starlit sky—providing visitors with a truly one-of-a-kind travel itinerary.

This premium travel experience emphasizes customization and localization. Customized sightseeing includes stops at Lion Mountain Artillery Fort, Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Distillery, an electric cart tour of Kinmen’s Ginglin Head area, the island’s only official kiln, and a tunnel music performance. Visitors can experience the nation’s only military-style welcome ceremony with an honor guard, explore the distillery’s sorghum wine cellars for tastings, and even purchase bottles to store in the “wine bank” or create a custom-themed liquor. Additionally, the Ginglin Head electric cart tour takes visitors to the country’s only open military broadcasting wall to try voice amplification broadcasts and create personalized video DVDs. They will also visit Kinmen’s only official kiln, where they can DIY their own wine bottle at the ceramics workshop. The finished bottle will then be sent to the distillery for filling and mailed to the visitor.

The customized souvenir experience will take visitors to tourist factories to craft Kinmen’s famous products—Kinmen artillery shell steel knives or brown sugar candy. For customized cuisine, options include a military rations experience with dishes such as canned noodles stir-fried with meat, instant noodle stir-fry, and taro-flavored pork, or traditional Kinmen flavor dishes with modern twists such as mullet fish with pickled vegetables and sorghum-based meals.
