The Happiness Transit Station Trial Opens on May 24 – The Old Taiwan Motor Transport Yilan Station Transforms into a “JiMi World”

The“Yilan Happiness Transit Station”, jointly developed by Yilan County Government and the JiMi team,will open on May 24,with design themes inspired by“The World Doesn’t Need to Worry About Me”and

“My World Is You,”

among others. In addition to seeing many characters from the books, visitors can also check out the first JiMi virtual reality pavilion.After three months of renovation, the production team successfully transformed the old Yilan Station, revitalizing various old facilities — turning walls into storybook illustrations and the station yard into a giant ball pit. Meanwhile, numerous JiMi-style scenes were built, including a JiMi-style bus stop, a 4-foot-tall pink elephant slide, and a 12-foot-tall yellow giraffe, along with the launch of an adorable painted bus that brings the JiMi world to life.▲ The upcoming super-cute pink elephant slide (photo taken during renovation stage). The “Happiness Transit Station” enlarges the little black dog from the original picture book, placing it inside the ball pit, and displays various characters from the books throughout the station, allowing JiMi fans to appreciate them up close. More uniquely, JiMi takes “My World Is You” as the main theme, blending it with the currently popular VR (virtual reality) technology. With the support of companies such as HTC, MSI, and assistance from Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, the first virtual reality pavilion in Yilan County has been created.
Visitors wearing the equipment inside the pavilion can enter the virtual world alongside characters from JiMi’s picture books and even interact with them using the devices. This collaboration between industry and government brings culture and technology together in a tangible way, transforming books into digital interactive experiences. It has already generated significant excitement even before its official opening.
