The “Wellness Bank,” composed of farmers, livestock breeders, and nutritionists, has brought an innovative concept restaurant resembling a marketplace to Taipei’s Breeze Center. It’s a restaurant situated closest to the market—direct delivery from the origin, cooking on-site, and instant serving, ensuring freshness with zero time lag. Initially established to help organic farmers solve production and sales issues, the “Wellness Bank” was first set up along Taichung’s Green Boulevard to create a friendly sales platform for farmers, aiming to return profits to them. To bring consumers closer to their food sources, they also opened a fresh restaurant that puts ingredients center stage, awakening the concept of original flavors so diners can experience how good ingredients don’t need excessive cooking—their natural taste is the very essence of deliciousness.

The Wellness Bank has been cultivating organic crops for seven years. This time, in collaboration with Taiwan’s largest animal feed additive company, Xiangpu Enterprise, they jointly launched the safe ingredient brand “Good Food, Well Researched,” offering pork free of ractopamine, Taiwanese lamb, and safe livestock products. Xiangpu Enterprise Chairman Wu Kunmin pointed out: “Good ingredients must be traced back to their source, and we must examine whether their cultivation is land-friendly and whether the animals are humanely raised. We refuse to sell fish caught by drift nets or trawlers, focusing instead on line-caught or longline-caught fish.” Regarding his father Wu Kunmin opening a new restaurant in Taipei, Kevin Wu specially returned to Taiwan this time to support Taiwan’s agriculture.

The newly opened Taipei branch of the Wellness Bank offers diners a delightful culinary experience by using Sweden’s Electrolux premium million-dollar chef equipment, distributed exclusively in Taiwan by Sakura, and has invited top domestic custom KⅡ kitchenware designer Director Chen to create a set of open-style, smoke-free kitchen facilities. The store also pledges to donate 10% of its proceeds on the 3rd of every month, and together with the proceeds from charity sales at the Taipei 101 Green Market, will collaborate with the Rotary Club of Taipei North to help children in New Taipei City who cannot afford lunch fees pay for a semester’s worth of school lunches. It is estimated that 400 children will benefit.
