The robot craze that swept Taipei has now reached Taichung. The "Robots All-Star Parade" special exhibition has moved from Taipei to the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung. From vintage collectible robots to modern AI-powered ones, from the imagination of sci-fi movies to the latest real-life applications, featuring robots spanning the century from 1920 to 2012 — including fan favorites Mighty Atom and Tetsujin 28 from the 5th and 6th graders' generation, as well as the widely known Iron Man and beloved Wall-E in recent years — all make a classic comeback in the Robots All-Star Parade exhibition.

The "Robots All-Star Parade" exhibition runs from now until March 3, 2013. This special exhibition has gathered over a hundred rare robot exhibits from around the world, including many “world firsts” in robotics — such as the first robot sketch, the earliest mass-produced robot "Little People No. 1," the first robot novel *I, Robot*, the first industrial robot Unimate, and the world’s smallest humanoid robot BeRobot. Additionally, many iconic sci-fi movie robots are a major highlight of the exhibition, such as Maria from *Metropolis*, which has been listed as a UNESCO Memory of the World item — not only the ancestor of movie robots but also an inspiration for contemporary pop icons like Madonna, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga. Characters from Star Wars such as C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader, and stormtroopers will take Star Wars fans on a trip down memory lane through the thrilling series.

In the Iron Man zone, besides the armor sets from the Mark series, there are also exclusive Marvel comic hero editions that robot fans shouldn’t miss — such as the blue Iron Man and Iron Hulk statues. Additionally, there’s a recreation of the exciting scene from *The Matrix* where APU robots battle squid-like machines, cyborg robots from *The Terminator* and *RoboCop*, robotic armor from *Avatar*, Thor’s Destroyer from *Thor*, Sonny from *I, Robot*, and the adorable cleaning robot Wall-E — all classic movie robots will be fully displayed in the exhibition.

Other featured exhibits include the intelligent robot NAO, mascot of the France Paris Region at the Shanghai World Expo, NASA's guide robot RoboShakespeare, vintage tin robot toys, and pet-type robot SONY AIBO. Beyond visual enjoyment and awe, the exhibition also showcases the historical background of robot evolution and how it has influenced our current technology and lifestyle.
