Taiwan High Speed Rail has once again launched the "30+ Person Group Discount for Designated Trains." From January 20 to April 30, excluding the Spring Festival and Qingming travel rush periods, groups of 30 or more passengers traveling on designated trains in standard class with assigned seating will receive a 35% discount off the full fare for adults. If the group includes senior, child, or compassionate care ticket holders, the original 50% discount will still apply.

Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation stated that in 2013, the “30+ Person Group Discount for Designated Trains” will offer a total of 300 scheduled trains per week, an increase of 124 trains compared to 2012, including additional services on holidays and trains before 9:00 AM from Monday to Thursday. Passengers can download the “30+ Person Group Discount for Designated Trains Booking Form” from the THSR corporate website starting now, or obtain it from station staff. Applications must be submitted by fax no later than two business days prior to the travel date, during office hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. THSR staff will follow up directly. This discount applies only to standard class seats with assigned seating and does not include group discounts for the Taipei–Banqiao section.
